- For me, the large scale of the Herati pattern in the field of this kilim is much more powerful and interesting than those exhibiting a reduced version of the design. The colors here are rich and beautifully balanced. While fineness matters, and this one is certainly fine enough, the strong character and color of this piece trump most of the type.
