- A wonderful example of Kurdish weaving from the Sauj Bulaq area. An interesting arrangement of varying colored diamonds in the lattice field and the relief effect caused by the corroded brown ground create the feeling that the rug is floating.

- About 20 years ago, this Malatya kilim was rescued from a pillow maker who planned to cut it up. It's hung on the wall and been a favorite ever since. There is an old repair in the center and a small tear at the top which could be fixed, or it can be used as is. The white areas are woven with cotton.

- A rare field design in a rug, but not uncommon in Sanjabi Kurd saddlebags. The wool quality is superb. Once again the long pile floral designs in the field set against a corroded brown ground creates a 3 dimensional effect causing the rug to feel as if it is floating.

- Excellent composition with great balance between field and border. The botehs, small in scale and on a dark blue background, contrast with the larger meandering design of the ivory outer border. Also, slight variations in the coloring of the rows of botehs produces a sense of rhythmic movement.

- This is a zili woven kilim from the Bergama area. An almost identical piece is published as plate 111 in Flatweaves of the Vakiflar Museum Istanbul. Given its age, it is in a remarkable state of preservation.
